Arfield Signs,Five Let Go and Eight Going

Falkirk midfielder Scott Arfield has signed for Huddersfield Town for in a region of £400,000. The fee could rise up to double the amount with add-ons such as appearances and if Town get promotion next season.
Town's backroom staff have been monitoring the 21-year old's progress, described as a box to box midfielder, Town have beaten clubs in the Scottish Premier League for the highly rated youngster's signature.
In other news Town have released five players and placed eight on the transfer list as manager Lee Clark looks to revamp his squad for a promotion push next season.
Dean Heffernan has left to return to Australia to sign a three-year deal with Melbourne Heart while Robbie Williams, Lewis Nightingale, Phil Jevons and Tasar Hassan have been told their contract will not be renewed and have left the club.
Williams signed for Town in August 2007 making 89 appearances scoring 7 goals. The left-back was League One player of the month back in November 2009.
Jevons joined in January 2008 making 50 appearances and scoring 11 goals. The former Yeovil and Bristol City player has been on loan at League Two Morecambe this season.
Krystian Pearce is also out of contract but is in talks with the club over a new possible deal.
The eight transfer listed are Simon Eastwood, Andy Butler, Jim Goodwin, Lionel Ainsworth, Michael Collins, James Berrett, Joe Skarz and Tom Denton. Robbie Simpson could also be shipped out on loan.
Simon Eastwood has only made one appearances for Town and had been on loan for half a season at Bradford City last season.
Andy Butler joined Town in the summer of 2008 on a free from Scunthorpe United, the defender has made 58 appearances for Town but went to Blackpool on loan for the rest of the season in January this year.
Goodwin also signed on a free from Scunthorpe United in the summer of 2008. The midfielder has been on loan at Oldham Athletic and had been an unused sub at Millwall in the 2nd leg of the play-off semi-final.
Ainsworth signed for Town from Watford in January 2009 but after failing to impress had been sent out of loan to Brentford in January 2010 for the rest of the season.
Midfielder Michael Collins had come through the club's youth academy and went on to make over 200 appearances for the club. Still only 24, the midfielder scored 10 goals in an impressive 2008/09 season.
James Berrett also come through the Town academy and has made 41 appearances for the club. Berrett had started 3 games and made 9 appearanced from the bench in the 2009/10 season.
Left back Joe Skarz graduated also from the Town academy and despite being only 20 had made 81 appearances for the club.
Striker Tom Denton never made a single appearance for the club since signing in the summer of 2008 from non-league Wakefield. The 6'7 target man has been on loan at Woking, Cheltenham Town and twice back to Wakefield since signing for Town. The youngester is profilic at non league level.
