Collins Set To Join Scunthorpe
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 24/06/2010
Town midfielder Michael Collins is set to join Championship side Scunthorpe United for a reported £50,000.
The attacking midfielder was transfer listed by boss Lee Clark in May and had been linked with Scunthorpe and a unnamed League One team.
Rumours had suggested that the 24-year old had been in talks with Irons boss Nigel Adkins this week and now looks set to join the Glanford Park side.
Collins scored 10 goals from midfield in the 2008/09 season but last season he failed to replicate that form.
The midfielder has made nearly 200 appearances for the Terriers scoring 21 goals. No doubt his finest hour was scoring the winner in a last minute win over Leeds United at Elland Road in November 2008.
