Huddersfield Town are set to sign Bristol City defender Jamie McCombe according to ThisisBristol.co.uk.
The 6ft 7ins defender, brother of former Town player John McCombe, is set to sign a two-year deal with the Terriers after passing a medical.
The 27-year old was an intergral part of the squad that won promotion from League One in 2007 and when Bristol City reached the Championship play-off final against Hull City in 2008.
New manager Steve Coppell does not see McCombe as part of his squad and was looking to offload the tall defender. McCombe signed for Bristol City in 2006 and had gone on to make 132 appearances scoring 11 goals.
