Huddersfield Town have made their third capture of the summer by signing Donal McDermott on a two-year deal.Terriers Swoop For McDermott

The 21 year-old had been on-loan at Bournemouth last season and had scored against Town in the Play-Off Semi-Final in a 1-1 draw at Dean Court.

The Irishman, who can play on either wing, came through Manchester City's academy and was part of their 2008 FA Youth Cup winning team. McDermott never made appearence for City but has spent time on loan at MK Dons, Chesterfield, Scunthorpe United and most recently Bournemouth. He has been capped by Ireland at U-19 level.

His contract with Manchester City expired on the 30th June it has not yet been released whether he is on a free or if the club has to pay City some compensation. Town were looking to sign him on loan late last season but the Irishman was recovering from injury so the Terriers signed Danny Ward instead.
