League One Preview - Part Two
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 05/08/2011
This is part two of the League One preview following on from part one. Teams in this part are Notts County, Oldham Athletic, Preston North End, Rochdale, Scunthorpe United, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Stevenage Borough, Tranmere Rovers, Walsall, Wycombe Wanderers and Yeovil Town.
Notts County
Martin Allen became the seventh Notts County manager in two season after his appointment in April. County had seen off two managers during the 2010/11 season alone. Former Notts County defender Chris Short started at the helm before being sacked just months into the season to be replaced by Paul Ince. Ince too was showing his marching orders as the club slipped into the relegation zone following a horrendous losing run. County stayed up on the final day of the season.
'Mad Dog' as Allen is known has cleared the squad with the likes of Ben Burgess, Liam Chilvers and John Thompson been told to leave as well as telling Jon Harley he is not longer wanted. In has come defender Jude Stirling (MK Dons, free), Julian Kelly (Reading, free), winger Ishmel Demontagnac (Blackpool, free), left-back Alan Sheehan (Swindon, free), midfielder Hamza Bencherif (Macclesfield, free), midfielder Jeff Hughes (Bristol Rovers, free) and Martin Allen's son Charlie Allen (Dag & Red, free).
Prediction - 20th- County have had an overhaul of players but still lack firepower up front and are relying on ageing striker Lee Hughes to grab the goals. Allen has brought in players that can grab goals from midfield such as Hughes, Bencherif and Demontagnac but is still in a search for a striker. I think County will stay in the division and finishing outside the relegation zone.

1. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
Terrible. Underwhelming. Disastrous. All the other superlatives you care to throw out there!
We went in to the season full of hope. We thought we'd be able to maintain our form from the previous title winning campaign having had a pretty strong pre-season. Opening day at home to Huddersfield was one hell of a wakeup call!
For such a poor season we still had some great times. Away at Peterborough and Tranmere were very special nights, and I imagine everyone knows enough about our cup run by now - that was quite fun!
I'd say Neal Bishop's header at Meadow Lane against Man City was the highpoint - but I've always had a soft spot for Stuart Nelson saving from Edin Dzeko in the last minute at Eastlands, at 5-0 down that was celebrated as much as a goal!
The lowest point was probably away at Dagenham & Redbridge, losing 3-1. I think that was the point where many of us had given up on the idea of surviving League One, Just a horrible afternoon.
Martin Allen came in next game though and somehow saved us - was an incredible achievement considering the football we'd played under Paul Ince!
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
Like most clubs aside from yours, we'd take mid-table if you offered it to us now.
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
There's a lot of doom and gloom amongst the club's supporters that we haven't signed a proven striker in the Summer - but Allen has improved the midfield massively and in front of an already strong defence (feel free to ignore both Huddersfield fixtures last year if you wish!) I'm thinking that we're only really missing one striker to finish off a strong side.
Last year we rarely thought we could ever get four or five games out of Lee Hughes at a time so much at the moment depends on his fitness. Craig Westcarr proved to be very reliable on occasion for us - whilst Karl Hawley (as much as his overall performances continue to improve) is without a goal in nearly 19 months now.
Hopefully by the time you publish this we'll have a new striker though!
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
Tough one, it's a choice of three.
We took on Ben Burgess, Liam Chilvers and John Harley last summer and all three by the end of the season were placed on the transfer list, massive disappointments.
Harley started fantastically, we saw very little of Burgess through injury - and Chilvers put in the sort of performances where you begin to wonder what manager we could pull the wool over their eyes to shift him!
Out of the three, it's Chilvers. Harley looked improved at times in pre-season, and Burgess has at least worked hard on his fitness, visibly shifting a lot of weight.
Him pulling up at Hinckley with a hamstring injury was just poor timing unfortunately!
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
We've been very excited this Summer by some of the performances from our youth players.
In defence there's Haydn Hollis, often looked nervous but got the job done everytime! His former coach Michael Johnson sees big things for the lad, says he's going to be a superstar.
Kyle Dixon has looked a handful on his appearances as well, always looking to make a run at goal - and we love that he's a Notts fan as well, you just know he'll give a toss!
And then there's Curtis Thompson who tore Peterborough apart at will the other week, and was the assist for Bishop's equaliser against Wolves. Very exciting player, would love to see him get some first team action!
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
Neal Bishop was great for us already - but he looks to have somehow improved in pre-season. Bish is prone to the odd bit of diving in, but he's been far more restrained in the games I've seen him this Summer, and his passing seems to have gone up a level also. Very exciting seeing him alongside Hamza Bencherif and Jeff Hughes.
Karl Hawley was immense versus Wolves. We're desperate to see him get that first goal in a long time and he's getting there. But he's everywhere on the field, putting in so much effort - we just need him to smash his laces through a football to get him started off!
7. Are you happy with your manager?
Delighted. It was a questionable appointment by many, but it came at a point where we thought we were as good as down anyway so what harm could it have done we thought!
His first two games were defeats, our eighth and ninth in a succession but these were followed by two fantastic away wins. Two draws (sandwiched between defeat at MK Dons), including the final day against Champions Brighton saw us safe.
To call him unconventional is an understatement - but he gets the job done! One of his first jobs was to get the crowd off Hawley's back, and he managed it. The results are there for all to see as well, Karl has really stepped up a few gears since.
Whilst his signings might have been questionable at first this Summer, we all know this is what Allen does, these are the players he turns into winners. Lads like Alan Sheehan and Julian Kelly all raised eyebrows when they were signed, but they've impressed a lot during the off-season.
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
Again, chuffed to pieces!
This is a man who brought the club with the intention to put us straight into admistration. Rather than let all those creditors lose their money though, he set on working away at clearing the (ridiculous) £7m debt that the club had accrued - saving us from a 12 point deduction, and finishing the season with a nice shiny League Two trophy!
I think it says a lot about the Chairman Ray Trew that his biggest fault is his over-ambition.
Through the last few months he's kept up a dialogue with supporters via emails, messageboards and the mailing list talking of bids for new strikers that have all ultimately failed. This obviously leads to a bit of resentment in some quarters but he only does it to appease the natives.
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
Only one really and I'd be stunned if they don't choose us as their answer - Tranmere Rovers.
They're just a funny bunch in Birkenhead that's all.
They came to Meadow Lane last year and we absolutely DOMINATED the game from start to finish - yet they came away with a 1-0 win. Of course they threw in the usual time-wasting tactics (we all know the sort, the ones where it's disgraceful if it happens to you, but good business if it's your team doing it) and wonderboy Dale Jennings takes a dive and one of our lads is sent off.
Come the return match, and it's pretty much the exact same sort of game. We took the 1-0 win despite being overwhelmed for much of the match. Then our players wasted time, took an age winning the ball back, taking a few seconds longer to get back up etc - a complete role reversal of everything we had done to ourselves.
Tranmere haven't really let go of it ever since bless them. We're apparently the dirtiest team of all time, Martin Allen is this and that, we love it. We remember the Meadow Lane fixture - but we got over it in time for our next defeat.
Certainly, Ricky Ravenhill's sending off was a daft move - but the selective memories of the Tranny fans allows them to totally ignore Tony Warner's headbutt on our boys in the second half. Didn't phase him. Nails are our lads!
10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four to go down
You've only asked this because you know a lot of people will say yourselves for the title! Can't see past Huddersfield, one of only a handful of sides that impressed me last season really.
Then the next five places i would expect to see Preston and the two Sheffield clubs in there. I'd like to see Bournemouth fighting, brilliant club. Aside from that i'd say there's a handful of five or six clubs fighting for promotion.
Keep an eye on Brentford. They've got money now, and signing Clayton Donaldson was a massive statement of intent I think.
Relegation, I think Tranmere will do very well to avoid it. Not because of the aforementioned reasons - just because i don't think they're a very good side at all. Walsall will struggle once more I'd imagine as will Yeovil - all the Twitter recommendations in the world might not be enough unfortunately.
I wonder about Rochdale. There's recent history there between us but we're past that now, I worry what the loss of Keith Hill might do to them. I sincerely hope they avoid the drop though.
Oldham
Oldham manager Paul Dickov started life in management will at Boundary Park and the club were in the play-off positions in February. However, six games without a win and without evening scoring a goal saw Oldham slip down the League One ladder eventually stopping at 17th place.
A overhaul of players have left Boundary Park most notably captain Ruben Hazell, who left for League Two Shrewsbury Town. Midfielder Dean Furman has been made captain for this season and Dickov has strengthened the backline by bringing in Jean-Yves M'Voto permanently on a free transfer from Sunderland after the young defender had spent the season on loan at Oldham. Defender Zander Diamond has also been brought in on a free from Aberdeen on a one-year deal. Dickov has made it clear he wants to add to Oldham's attack but so far has only signed striker Matt Smith from Solihull Moors on a undisclosed fee.
Prediction - 13th - The club have enough quality to stay in this division and I'm sure Reuben Reid will find the form he once had a Rotherham. Lacking firepower up front but after physical and difficult to break down.

1. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
We finished a disappointing 17th, 9 points clear of the relegation zone. We made a good start to season and were up in the top six just after the half way mark. However, we fell away badly towards the end of the season and flirted dangerously with relegation. Best team performance was probably the 4-0 home victory over Hartlepool in February. Best single moment was Dean Furman's goal against Notts County in August which won Football League Goal of the Year and was nominated for European Goal of the Year. For the worst, take your pick from two horrendous home defeats - 6-0 to Southampton and 5-0 to Peterborough.
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
I think we'll finish in midtable. Maybe 12th. A top half finish would be excellent. I believe our squad is too good to go down.
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
Our squad is quite small and made up mainly of young, up-and-coming players. We have made some very encouraging new signings though - giant centre back Jean-Yves M'Voto from Sunderland (who played for us last season on loan), Zander Diamond from Aberdeen (also a centre back), and Alex Cisak (a goalkeeper from Accrington Stanley). We are still short of a bit of quality up front though in my opinion.
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
Warren Feeney - zero league goals from him last season. Plymouth appear to want to sign him at the moment.
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
Hopefully Matt Smith, a young striker signed from non-league Solihull Moors. He arrives with a very prolific scoring record in non-league football.
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
Probably Matt Smith who scored in our 2-1 friendly victory over a strong Blackpool side.
7. Are you happy with your manager?
Yes, Paul Dickov is an excellent young manager who I believe will go on to have a very successful managerial career.
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
Yes, the chairman Simon Corney is doing a great job in very difficult circumstances. We still have no money, but we do now finally have plans to build a new stand at Boundary Park, so at least our ground will have four sides again!
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
Our local rivals Rochdale who last season finished in a higher league position than us for the first time since the 1970/71 season.
10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four
to go down
Champions - Huddersfield; Runners-up - Sheff Wed;
Play-offs - Sheff Utd, MK Dons, Charlton, Brentford;
Relegated - Yeovil, Tranmere, Walsall, Stevenage
Preston North End
Phil Brown could not save Preston from the Championship trap door and the club lost some key players since falling into League One. Winger Keith Treacy, goalkeeper Andy Lonergan and Sean St. Ledger have all left for Burnley, Leeds and Leicester respectively. Billy Jones left for West Brom and striker Paul Hayes joined Charlton.
However, the former Hull City boss had made some shrewd moves. Brown has brought in defender Clarke Carlisle on a season-long from Burnley, goalkeeper Iain Turner on a free from Everton and the experienced Graham Alexander has also joined from Burnley on a free. The club have also retained Neil Mellor after his season-long loan at Sheffield Wednesday where he scored 15 goals and Iain Hume is sure to be amongst the goal this season. Preston also have experienced veteran such as Ian Ashbee and Jon Parkin.
Prediction - 1st- 15 of their 24 defeats last season were by a one-goal margin so I'm sure Phil Brown is key to address that issues by bringing in Clarke Carlisle. Enough quality in the team to challenge for the automatic positions and possible win the league.

1. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
Best moment, easy the sacking of Darren Ferguson, so glad we got rid of him, and brought in a manager who wanted to do well.
Worst moment Getting relegated, horrible day, but hopefully we will come back stronger and wanting to do well under Phil Brown!
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
I'm hoping we'll do well under Phil Brown, great manager who wants to do well. But anything could happen, so we'll have to wait and see! I would like to see us end in the play-offs, but like I said, anything could happen!
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
Happy with the signing of Iain Turner, great goalkeeper, had the chance to play for other teams, but wanted to come to Preston, so I'm happy with him. Going to miss Keith Treacy, was an amazing player, but sadly we couldn't keep him. Plenty of young players in our squad now, so to see them play would be great, as none of our previous managers really give them a chance to play in the first team!
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
Definitely Neil Mellor! He's been saying for a while that he doesn't want to stay with us. He also doesn't give 100% each game, so I would rather let players who want to be with us, and want to play their best play instead of him! He used to be amazing, but that has changed, I don't know if it's greed or laziness.
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
Has to be Jamie Proctor, he's had an amazing pre-season, and is one of the fans favourites! He scored a hat trick at Fleetwood, which impressed the fans, and Phil Brown. I really think he's going to shine this season, can't wait to see him play!
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
Same as question 5, Jamie Proctor, definitely amazing youngster!
7. Are you happy with your manager?
Extremely happy! Quite a lot of people don't like him, but I think he is amazing. He wants to do well, he wants to get us out of League One, so we couldn't have asked for anyone better.
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
No. Long story put short, he needs to go! Getting rid of one of out best players, who we needed to stay to help us get back up. But because we got a "big" offer for him, we got rid of him. Phil Brown didn't have a say in this, which has turned some/most of our players against Maurice Lindsay!
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
Scunthorpe or Sheffield United, seeing as they went down with us, I would like to see if we can beat them! But it would be good to see us win as many games as possible, to help us get back in to the Championship.
10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four
to go down
Champions: - MK DONS
Runner Up: - Bournemouth
Play-Off teams: - Preston, Huddersfield, Scunthorpe and Charlton
Four teams to go down: - Sheffield Wednesday, Notts County, Stevenage and Yeovil
Rochdale
After 36 years in English football's bottom tier, Rochdale finally won promotion and they took to life in the third tier of English football rather well. Keith Hill has the Dale playing some attractive football and with Gary Jones smashing in the goals from midfield, Rochdale finished 9th in League One.
Since then Keith Hill and his assistant David Flitcroft have left for Championship Barnsley and the club have turned to Manchester City coach Steve Eyre. Right-back Scott Wiseman and winger Matt Done have followed Hill to Barnsley but Eyre has made some decent acquisitions bringing in Ashley Grimes on a free from Millwall, who scored 17 goals whilst on loan at Lincoln City last season. Young midfielder Andrew Tutte joins on a free from Manchester City and highly-rated Liverpool youngster Stephen Darby turned down bigger teams to join Rochdale on a season-long loan. Marc Twaddle has been brought in from Falkirk and former on-loan Town defender Neil Trotman has joined on a free after his release from Preston.
Prediction - 10th - Steve Eyre persuaded Gary Jones to stay at the club which is a massive boost for the Dale. Be interesting to see how Dale cope this season without Keith Hill but have kept their key players from last season in Jones and striker Chris O'Grady. I wouldn't write off Rochdale as a chance for the play-offs but I think it could be another top-half finish.

. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
Last season was our first back in League One for 35 years so as you can imagine it was a big thing for Dale fans! I think we surprised both ourselves and the rest of the football community when we finished in 9th place just a few points off a play off spot. Most people had us to go straight back down and we would have been happy with just staying up, so the fact we did the complete opposite was a real achievement. I think the reason we did so well was because we went into every game without any expectations and had a "no fear" attitude that then manager Keith Hill implemented at the club. The best moments have to be some of the bigger clubs we beat, for example, we took six points from Southampton last season! I don't think there were any bad moments, although if I was being greedy it would have been nice to have been involved in the play offs if we hadn't had run out of steam towards the end of the season.
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
Now we've got a season of experience in League One I'd hope we use that to improve on last season. I'd like to think we'd do at least as good enough if not better and I hope we have that momentum and drive to get those few extra points we lacked last time. Some people think we'll do a lot again, others think we'll struggle. Losing Keith Hill and David Flitcroft was a huge blow at the time, but in new management duo Steve Eyre and Frankie Bunn we're into a new era and I'm feeling genuinely positive about what this season has in store for us.
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
Our new manager obviously has fantastic contacts in the football industry. I honestly don't think we would have made some of the signings we have it he wasn't in charge. We lost Scott Wiseman and Matty Done who went to Barnsley with Keith Hill and also released a couple of players too, so we had spaces to be filled. At the back we brought in Neal Trotman, an absolutely huge centre back who has already built a formidable partnership with Holness - you certainly won't be messing with us this season with those two! Then we've got Liverpool loanee Stephen Darby at right back, that was a surprise signing, he's highly rated at Anfield and the fact he chose us over so many other club shows how far we've come. He's proven himself already, you can see he's got that extra touch of class, he's cool and composed on the ball and is great at picking out players further up-field. Ashley Grimes was apparently signing for Shrewsbury until he did a u-turn and opted for us, he's scored a few in pre-season already and I'm expecting him to rack up a few goals this season. Andrew Tutte we'd previously had on loan but didn't really do much, since signing for us he's played a vital role in getting the ball down and moving as well as some cracking build up play too. Simon Hackney came to us with a great reputation as a good hard working lad who needed a chance and we've been impressed so far, especially his fantastic goal away at Southport. Marc Twaddle joined us from the Scottish leagues, but we've not seen much of him yet. As I write this, we still have a few spaces to fill including a goalkeeper, but on paper we look like a decent League One side this season.
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
I can honestly say there isn't anyone. Before he left, Keith Hill built up a team of players who wanted to play for the club, if they didn't give 100% then they were out, so everyone is well liked and wants to play for the club.
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
A young striker called Reece Gray looks to have a promising future. He made his debut on the last day of the season and scored the winner away at Bournemouth. He's only small and still very lightweight, but he looks to have something about him and I'll be keeping an eye on his progress throughout the season, especially given our new manager's experience in developing young players.
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
Probably Ashley Grimes the most, he's so lively and has the goals too and I reckon he's going to score a fair few for us. I've also been impressed with Neal Trotman who looks like he'll be a rock at centre back.
7. Are you happy with your manager?
Well, he only joined us this pre-season so it's hard to judge him yet, but from what we've seen in friendlies and from the signings we've made I'm very happy. He can definitely talk the talk and says all the right things. He has so many good contacts in the industry too which can only be a good thing and I've heard nothing but great things about him and assistant Frankie Bunn.
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
We're lucky to have an excellent chairman in Chris Dunphy who is also a Rochdale fan and a great board too. I truly believe they have the club's best interests at heart and run the club honestly and without putting it under any risk. I trust every judgement they make with regards to the team and the club, and I think they do a fantastic job.
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
Well, everyone would probably say Bury because we'll have our main local derby back in the league, so of course any victory over them would be sweet. I'd also love to beat the likes of Preston too, a big team coming down and also local.
10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four to go down
Oh that's a toughie because it's a tough league this season and I think a lot of teams could easily challenge for a place, but I'll go for...
Champions - Sheffield Utd
Runner up - Preston
Play offs - Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Charlton, Brentford
Relegated - Tranmere, Stevenage, Bury, Walsall
Scunthorpe United
Scunthorpe United have yo-yoed between League One and the Championship for the past few years and once again find themselves back in League One after finishing a disappointing 24th place in the Championship.
Joe Garner has returned to Notts Forest after scoring six goals during his loan spell but Scunthorpe have kept the majority of the team from last season minus goalkeeper Joe Murphy (Coventry) and defenders David Mirfin (Watford), Andy Hughes (Charlton) and Rob Jones (Sheff Wed). Alan Knill has so far recruited striker Jordan Robertson from St. Johnstone, midfielder Jimmy Ryan from Accrington Stanley and winger Andy Barcham from Gillingham.
Prediction - 7th - The Iron are a good shout for the play-offs but there are many teams with quality in them this season so I could see Scunthorpe just missing out on the play-off places on the last day of the season.

1. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
.It's fair to say we didn't have the greatest of seasons, we started well enough with a suprise win at Reading, but from the moment Nigel Adkins left we knew we were definitely in for a season of struggle, many fans felt we hadn't sufficiently replaced our prolific duo of Hayes and Hooper and so it proved as we struggled for goals all season. Our defence was also absolutely abysmal and we suffered several hammerings. There were few bright spots in a generally miserable season but the early season away form registering victories against Reading, PNE, Watford, Sheffield United and culminating with a treasured victory in the Humber Derby were definite highlights, it was just a shame in contrast our home form was so embarrassingly dire. The worst moment was the home defeat against Preston, it didn't relegate us and we still went into the latter games with a bit of hope particularly following victory in the do or die game with relegation rivals Palace but in our hearts all Scunthorpe fans knew we were effectively relegated that awful night at Glanford Park, it was our game in hand, spelled the end of the manager and was the most desperately poor performance I had seen us put in a long time, going 3 down in twenty minutes or so and effectively ending all hopes of survival. For me not even official confirmation of relegation following the Forest game compared to the low feeling after this defeat.
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
My thoughts on this season, keep changing, in my heart I would like to think we will match most people's expectations and challenge strongly for the play-offs, after all we are very experienced at this level but my head says our squad just ultimately isn't strong enough to mount a sustained challenge. I still have concerns over the mobility of our defence and I don't think we have a sufficient attacking force. I think we'll do okay just through our experience at this level but I feel injuries and lack of financial muscle might well cost us and I can see us finishing just outside the play offs. I am extremely happy to be proven wrong though!
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
We have only brought in 3 as of this point and I'm reasonably happy with them, Andy Barcham and Jimmy Ryan bring undoubted quality to our midfield, that was needed, both are skilful players and from the little I have seen in pre season, have definitely improved our squad. Striker Jordan Robertson boosts the strikeforce but I cannot really judge him yet, having made little impact in pre season so far, he brings strength as a tall powerful striker though I am not sure he is the solution to our goal shortage. I'm reasonably happy with our squad but feel we still need more additions, particularly another striker to add to our options because I still think we are too lightweight up front.
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
He has just gone! Andy Hughes has departed for Charlton and I'm pretty happy with that, can't fault his effort at all and he's pretty versatile but he's ultimately doesn't possess the quality we need to maintain a position in our squad. I still don't see what Andy Wright brings to the team either so I'd happily get rid of him too.
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
We don't have a lot of youngsters coming through anymore which is such a shame as we used to produce a good bunch of players regularly, of the ones that are likely to make any kind of impact at first team level, Nial Canavan looks assured as a CB and should have a big future with us as he matures. Sam Slocombe may well be called upon to deputise now Joe Murphy has moved on, making him our regular back up keeper.
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
I have to be honest and say I personally haven't seen a lot of pre season this time around but from what I saw and from what I've heard, Jimmy Ryan is going to have a big impact with us this season and looks a shrewd purchase from Accrington Stanley, and just may be the difference between glory and missing out.
7. Are you happy with your manager?
Yes, I thought when he was appointed that he was the right man for the job and I still stand by that. I like the way he gets us playing and I like his quiet assurance. He seems well in control, he certainly made a sizeable improvement in the little game time he had last season, getting the boys playing more confident football, ultimately he couldn't keep us up but I think that wasn't a realistic expectation, ultimately we weren't good enough to survive with what we had. He's started to make his mark on the squad, with some quality signings, unfortunately his hands may be tied, when it comes to adding to the squad further.
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
This is difficult, you can't fault the chairman exactly but he does leave you frustrated, I think what he does is good, he DOES keep the club running tidily and financially keeping the club secure is one of his main assets and in an age with football debt and the number of clubs faced with financial difficulties and even extinction this has to be positive. But, sometimes you feel he doesn't want to see the club move forward, you would like it if he offered more cash for players and he does have a 'tight fisted' reputation but I don't think you can doubt his loyalty and love for the club, and ultimately has our best interests at heart even if his lack of actions can lead to frustration for us fans.
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
It would be nice to beat Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough if only to avenge the memory of the worst performance I have ever seen in the 09/10 season when we were lucky to emerge ONLY beaten 4-0. We also owe Preston one for the catastrophic home defeat.
10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four
to go down
10. Champions: - Huddersfield Town
Runner Ups - Sheffield Wednesday
Play Offs:
Bournemouth
Preston North End
Leyton Orient
Notts County
Relegation:
Stevenage
Bury
Hartlepool
Wycombe
Sheffield United
A really miserable season for Sheffield United as they slipped back into the third their after 23 years after going through three managers in a single season and appointed former Sheffield Wednesday player and manager Danny Wilson this summer which has caused a lot of anger from some Blades fans.
The Blades have lost Darius Henderson (Millwall), Mark Yeates (Watford) and Jamie Ward (Derby) but so far have brought in striker Chris Porter from Derby (free), left-back Lescinel Jean-Francois from Swindon (free), winger Ryan Flynn from Falkirk (free) and midfielder Danny Philliskirk (Chelsea, free).
United have kept most of their squad, most notably striker Ched Evans, and are appearing to blend in youngster such as Jordan Slew, Harry Maguire and Matthew Lowton.
Prediction - 6th - The Blades have the firepower in their squad but with all the turmoil lately at Bramell Lane I'm tipping them for a play-off place.

Well as a Sheffield United fan, its wasn't the best season, I've seen 4 managers in a year.
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
I am hoping for a top 6 finish
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
The squad is ok, but we still need someone who can finish half chances, someone like Adam Le Fondre
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
Neill Collins
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
Jordan Slew (striker) and Harry Maguire (defender)
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
McDonald and Kruk (they've been on trial and hopefully we can give them a contract). I have been impressed with Lescinel Jean-Francois
7. Are you happy with your manager?
Danny Wilson wasn't everyone choice but I will back him until I am proven wrong
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
so-so
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
Sheffield Wednesday, local rivals.
10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and
the four to go down
(top 2) Charlton. Hudderfield.
(playoffs) Sheffield United, Sheffield wednesday, Preston and Scunthrope.
Relegation - Stevenage Wycombe, Yeovil and Notts county
Sheffield Wednesday
A disappointing season for Sheffield Wednesday but it comes as no surprise with the highly publicized financial troubles the club went through. The club now appears to be stable under Milan Mandaric and the pressure is now on Gary Megson to get Wednesday out of League One in his first full season in charge.
Losing defender Tommy Spurr to rivals Doncaster Rovers is a blow for The Owls so too is the news that winger Jermaine Johnson will miss the start of the season due to injury. Second-highest league scorer Tommy Miller has left to join Huddersfield Town. Megson has brought back defender Rob Jones on a free from Scunthorpe after a loan spell at Hillsborough, so too Danny Batth on another loan deal from Wolves. Midfielders David Prutton and Jose Semedo have both joined on a free from Swindon and Charlton respectively.
The Owls were keen to bring back striker Neil Mellor on a permanent basis but Preston have decided not to cash in. Wednesday lack firepower up front compared to other teams that are favourite for promotion and I'm sure Megson is trying to address the situation by bidding for Rotherham's Adam Le Fondre.
Prediction - 4th - At the moment seem to be lacking firepower but have enough in their squad to get to secure a play-off place.

1. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
On the pitch last season promised much and delivered little. Actually, probably less than little. The best moment without doubt took place off the field when Milan Mandaric finally became the man to take us over and rid us of the debt and board that has been holding us back for nearly 20 years. Worst moment/s? Take your pick from numerous home defeats/capitulations to so-called "lesser" clubs. And being that bad and far down the pecking order that it was actually well into Sunday morning before we ever appeared on 'The Football League Show'. For about twenty seconds.
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
Assuming we sign some sort of attacking player before the end of August, I think we will make a genuine push for promotion this season. Meggo seems to have sorted our defence out which was our main problem last season. We needed to score two goals just to guarantee getting a point from a game. He's a fan and demands nothing less than 100% effort and commitment to the shirt which is all the fans in the stands want to see too but has been worryingly lacking at times over the past few years. If we get that (and those strikers!), along with the changes he's made so far, I see no reason why we shouldn't make the play offs at least.
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
At the start of the summer Meggo said he wanted to bring in nine players. At time of writing, four days before the season starts, we've made five. So clearly things haven't gone according to plan. And none of the signings are strikers or attacking midfielders. Meggo has even left squad numbers 8,9 and 10 blank as he knows what we need. It's like he's taunting us. The signings we have made are excellent. We had Danny Batth and Rob Jones last season and they shored up a leaky defence, so we know what we're getting there. Julian Bennett looks ten times the left back Tommy Spurr was and David Prutton and Jose Semedo should add some much needed bite (and hair) to our powder puff midfield. Just sign some strikers Meggo!
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
None of them. Meggo has shipped out everyone who he needed to ship out. Add two strikers and an attacking mid and we're good to go.
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
Danny Batth isn't technically ours, we've managed to secure him on loan again from Wolves, but he's a classy centre half who plays with a maturity beyond his years . It was him and Rob Jones coming in last season and shoring up our leaky defence that is the reason we're not currently setting the sat-nav for Accrington because we were hurtling towards League Two before they arrived. He's going to go far. If you're after a player that actually belongs to us then Gary Madine has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders to lead the line this season. If he can stay out of trouble off the pitch that is!
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
I haven't been to any pre-season matches but from what I've heard, our new look defence is looking solid. Which is great because last season at times it was a Keystone Cops-esque shambles. And we also have options and strength in depth at the back too. Fantastic stuff. We've even shut out big, direct, physical Stoke which should stand us in good stead for the season ahead. Unfortunately, due to our inability to get any attacking players in (at time of writing) we haven't looked like scoring or creating chances either (other than from set pieces) which wasn't a problem last season. Typical Wednesday, you sort out one problem....
7. Are you happy with your manager?
The jury is still out. Milan brought him in midway through last season because we were slipping alarmingly out of the play off spots under Alan Irvine and so Meggo was brought in to put the wheels back on the promotion bandwagon. We proceeded to slip alarmingly out of the top half! I think the fans are desperate for Meggo to do well as he is a massive massive Owl, but he has a habit of rubbing people up the wrong way. A good start is essential because Milan has said that nothing but promotion will do. If we're not top six in October, the fans could get restless and Milan's trigger finger could get itchy.
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
Of course. Without sounding too dramatic, he saved us from the clutches of evil henchmen destined to take us to football and financial oblivion. And to all those pessimistic Owls who still haven't been won over by Milan and say he is only in it for a quick buck he's a businessman - we know he is! But to make that quick buck that means we have to be successful on and off the pitch top half of the Championship or better. And that will do me!
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
All of them! But I would obviously take particular pleasure in beating the Blades home and away. And in the FA Cup. And League Cup. And the Johnstones Paint Trophy. 5-0. Every time.
10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four
to go down
.Champions Go on then, us.
2nd, Huddersfield.
Play Offs Preston, Carlisle, MK Dons, Charlton.
Relegated Wycombe, Bury, Oldham, Tranmere
Stevenage
Stevenage fans must be in dream land. There first crack at league football and they won promotion from League Two at their first attempt via the play-offs and will be facing the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Preston. Manager Graham Westley has got a hungry young side that has won back-to-back promotions and has a made a few additions to his squad with striker Guy Madjo on a free, winger Jennison Myrie-Williams from St Johnstone (free), goalkeeper Alan Julian returns to the club from Gillingham (free) and defender Phil Edwards from Accrington Stanley (free).
Prediction - 23rd - No one knows a great deal about Stevenage and I bet they'll get a shot at the third tier of England football a real go. However, I think it may be a bridge too far for Stevenage.

1. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
We did pretty well for our first season in the Football League. We were solid at the back and didn't concede many goals, which made us difficult to beat. A good run between February and March saw us earn a play-off place and we beat Torquay in the final to reach League 1 for the first time. The best moment of the season has to be John Mousinho's winner in the final at Old Trafford. The worst moment was probably losing at Northampton, where it felt like we had been cheated out of the game and lost our chance of a shot at the play-offs.
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
It's going to be a real struggle. Successive promotions is a hard feat, but staying in this division will surpass either of them. I hope we can have a good season regardless of the results and make sure we are still a League 1 club this time next year.
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
4 players have left and 5 have come in, but the overall spine is the same as last season really. Westley has simply just replaced the players that have left. Foster joined Rotherham, so he signed Edwards. Griffin and Odubade left so in came Madjo and Myrie-Williams. He's also added a bit of creativity with the signing of Robin Shroot after he was released by Birmingham.
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
Craig Reid. Just do not rate him at all. He came for a fair bit of money and promised much, but just hasn't delivered as yet. I'm happy to be proved wrong though...
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
Michael Thalassitis has impressed during pre-season and could make an impact this season. However, I'll go for Robin Shroot. He's been our best player so far this pre-season and is still only 23.
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
As I mentioned above, Robin Shroot has been our best player. He came in on trial and has earned himself a two year contract with some solid performances in the Boro midfield. One to keep an eye out for this season.
7. Are you happy with your manager?
It's hard not to be at the moment. He is sometimes tactically naive and I don't always agree with his decisions, but you can't argue with 2 promotions in 2 years. He has done superbly since coming back in 2008. Credit to him.
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
Again, all things are rosy in the garden at the moment, but there are always areas where we can improve on. We really have to improve our professionalism off the pitch and that would ultimately come down to the chairman. However, he has got us into League 1 and made sure we are debt free. I have no complaints.
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
Being in a new league means that there aren't many rivalries. However, I would like to beat Chesterfield because their manager (Sheridan) gave us some stick last season, so to turn them over would be nice. Other than that, wins over MK Dons, Yeovil and Carlisle would be welcome.
10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four to go down?
Champions: Preston
Runners Up: Sheffield United
Play-offs: Huddersfield, MK Dons, Exeter, Sheffield Wednesday
Relegated: Tranmere, Walsall, Yeovil, Bury
Tranmere Rovers
Tranmere Rovers have been struggling over the past few season but physio-turned-manager Les Parry has kept the club with their heads about water after a disastrous time under former Liverpool duo John Barnes and Jason McAteer. Striker Enoch Showunmi's 11 goals helped Rovers finish 17th in League One last season.
A big blow for Tranmere is the departure of young winger Dale Jennings to Bayern Munich and defender Aaron Cresswell has left for Ipswich Town. Parry has been quick to move for some experienced players in the likes of goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams on a free from Rochdale and winger Martin Devaney on a free from Barnsley. In also is midfielder Danny Holmes for his second spell at Prenton Park (TNS, free) and loan due Robbie Weir and Michael Kay have signed permanently (both from Sunderland, free)
Prediction - 18th - Tranmere seem to lack goals in their side but experienced players like midfielder John Welsh and the creativeness of Andy Robinson will help Rovers avoid the drop.

1. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
After a last day relegation escape the season before, we looked like we might struggle again last season but our form picked up particularly a few weeks from the end and we ended up clear of relegation with two weeks to spare.
The best moment was the 2-1 last gasp win away at Bournemouth. After taking the lead, the home side scored in the 90th minute but we went up the other end and snatched a win that all but ensured our safety.
The worst moment was any one of the awful home defeats we seemed to suffer last season (of which there were many).
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
Although we have lost a couple of names incuding the highly rated Dale Jennings, we did miss him for some of last season through injury and have hopefully done enough to replace him. I'd like to think we will be battling in the top half but a mid table finish of any sort is perhaps more realistic. I'll plump for 15th place at this stage.
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
As mentioned above we have lost two first team players from last season but we have added our own goalkeeper for the first time in three seasons in Owain Fon Williams, kept hold of key man Andy Robinson and if we can keep Adam McGurk and Ian Goodison fit we look fairly strong.
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
The one player I wanted to be rid of this summer due to his long deal, high wages and injury proneness was Alan Mahon and that was exactly what happened. Nothing against the player but for both parties it was the suitable outcome. Can't think of anyone I want rid of out of those left.
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
Max Power (yes that is his name!!) may get a first team chance this season and he will do well if he does so. Others on the fringe but who may not get a chance this season are Will Vaulks, Andy Coughlin and Cole Stockton.
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
Andy Robinson looks much fitter and sharper this season and will be key to any success we could have. Also Adam McGurk and Robbie Weir have been impressive in the pre-season campaign.
7. Are you happy with your manager?
Unlike a lot of fans I'm happy with Les Parry in charge for the time being. His ability in the transfer market is excellent given the circumstances but this season he needs to not set us up to avoid defeat so often and be more confident in his players.
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
The Chairman wants to sell the Club after a number of years in charge but has already stressed he will only sell to someone who is good for the future of the Club. He has stopped 'investing' as such. The backroom staff all seem decent enough and most are pretty experienced.
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
A lot of fans will be looking at Scunthorpe as the team they want to beat due to us missing out on the play-offs at their place on the final day a few years ago. For me though it will be Martin Allen and Notts County after thier appalling approach to a game at Prenton Park last season.

Walsall
It looked like Walsall were doomed with 14 defeats in 21 matches saw The Saddlers rooted to the bottom of League One. Chris Hutchings was sacked, being replaced by coach Dean Smith and what a turn around in fortunes it was at the Bescott Stadium. Smith wasted no time in bringing in former Town defender Andy Butler who proved to be a rock at the back and with Julian Gray finding the net, Walsall pulled themselves out of the mire to finish 20th in League One with 14 wins in 19 games.
Smith has wasted no time in rejuvenating his squad, out were the likes of Darren Byfield, Steve Jones and Paul Marshall, in came left-back Matt Sadler (Watford, free), winger Kevan Hurst (Carlisle, free), striker Ryan Jarvis (Leyton Orient, free), defender Lee Beevers (Colchester, free) winger Claude Gnakpa (Luton, free) and American midfielder Anton Peterlin (Plymouth, free).
Prediction - 21st - Walsall are lacking goals in attack and it hasn't helped that last season's top scorer Julian Gray (10 goals) has left to join Ermis Aradippou in Cyprus. Another season of struggle for The Saddlers and could be a bridge too far.

1. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
Best Moment for sure - surviving relegation on the last day of the season at Southampton, when they won promotion the same day.Worst Moment - Losing 4-2 to Tranmere in October when we were pinned to the bottom of the table.
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
Dean Smith has come in and transformed the team and a few good signings this summer. Mid table i expect.
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
We have 8 new players, most of whom have good experience in this league. It is still quite small so we potentially 4 or 5 new players.
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
That's a hard one as we need all the players we can get! Probably Alex Nicholls who is talented but probably the least valuable.
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
Will Grigg! He got a few games last season and is set to be even better this season.
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
New signing Adam Chambers is set to be our rock in midfield.
7. Are you happy with your manager?
Absolutely! He came in in January when we were relegation certs, but he pulled us to safety!
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
Not really, our Chairman Jeff Bonser has come under much pressure and unsatisfaction from fans over lack of funds. Our stadium (The Banks's) is also up for sale and its' future is a bit worrying at the moment
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
No one really, no rivals in this league for us. Only MK Dons because of their franchise situation at a push.

Wycombe Wanderers
Wycombe bounced back from their relegation to League Two at the end of the 2009/10 season at the first attempt and it seems manager Gary Waddock is well equipped to keep Wycombe in League One. Goalkeeper Nikki Bull was in fine form last season winning The Chairboys' Player of the Year award and the veteran Gareth Ainsworth at the ripe old age of 38 proves he still has what it takes as he fired in ten goals last season.
Another team that has seen a overhaul of players with no fewer than ten players being released. Coming in is striker Joel Grant (Crewe, free) defender Ben Harding (Aldershot, free) Scott Donnelly returns for a second season-long loan spell (Swansea), striker Elliott Benyon also joins on a season-long loan (Swindon) and left-back James Tunnicliffe also joins the club (Brighton, free).
Prediction - 19th - Off-the-field problems with the council kicking Wycombe's new stadium idea into touch may effect on the field. A real test for Wycombe this year they look better equipped than last time they were in this league but I still think it will be a season of struggle for The Chairboys but may just keep their heads about water.

1. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
It was an enjoyable campaign that saw us clinch automatic promotion on the final day. The highlight for me was our 3-1 win at second-placed Bury in the penultimate game of the season. There were a couple of lows, the most disappointing being a dismal 4-1 drubbing at Champions Chesterfield.
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
It's hard to say. Rochdale surprised a few people last season, but although we're definitely better equipped for this division than we were during our flying visit two years ago, I think we'll probably finish about 18th.
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
The core of last season's squad are still here and they have a terrific team-spirt. There are six new signings - four on permanent deals and two on-loan. One of the loanees (Scott Donnely) was with us last season anyway, so it's really five new faces. Striker Elliot Benyon broke his hand in training and hasn't played in pre-season so I can't comment on him. Winger Joel Grant and central-defender James Tunnicliffe look useful and are both likely to challenge for a starting-spot. Midfielders John Halls and Ben Harding will find it difficult to dislodge the current incumbents.
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
None of them. (well, maybe one, but I couldn't possibly reveal who!)
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
We have several talented youngsters who are attracting the interest of Premier League clubs. 15 year-old Jordan Ibe is probably the most exciting prospect but I doubt we'll see much of him. First-year pro Kadeem Harris might have more opportunity to shine, but the reduction of substitutes from 7 to 5 probably hasn't helped the youngsters' chances of being involved.
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
15 year-old Jordan Ibe.
7. Are you happy with your manager?
Yes
8. Are you happy with your Owner/Chairman?
No
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?

Terry Skiverton has brought stability to the club ever since his appointment and The Glovers have kept their heads above water every season. Yeovil finished a respectable 14th in League One last season but there has been a mass exodus of players leaving Huish Park this summer. Top scorer striker Dean Bowditch has left for MK Dons, Andy Welsh left for Carlisle and Nathan Smith has left for Chesterfield is just a number of them.
Skiverton has made some decent acquisitions though, creative midfielder Gavin Williams has joined from Bristol Rovers (free), defender Bondz N'Gala (Plymouth, free) and striker Kieran Agard (Everton, free). Goalkeeper Jed Steer has joined on short loan deal from Norwich, striker Jon Obika has re-joined on loan until January from Spurs and striker Rory Fallon has joined on a short-term deal from Plymouth.
Prediction - 22nd - A mass exodus of players has left Yeovil with a very small squad and the club also have a small budget. A season of struggle for Yeovil.

1. How did you fare last season? Best moment, worst moment etc
Best: 5-1 win away to Leyton Orient. They held Arsenal at home, but they couldn't contain the mighty Glovers! Worst: Pre Christmas form. We were bottom on Christmas Day and points adrift from safety. We showed playoff form for the rest of the campaign to survive comfortably.
2. How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
As per usual, our board showed their ineptitude re contracts. We let our best players run out of contract and they (surprise surprise) reject the new deals on offer AFTER the season. So we lose Dean Bowditch and Nathan Smith on frees and Craig Alcock for a small fee (as he is home grown). So we have to rebuild from scratch. So I will take 20th.
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
Most of the squad is new. 18 year old Jed Steer signed on loan from Norwich in goal. Bondz N'Gala signed on a free from Plymouth at the back. Delighted we have re-signed Max Ehmer on loan from QPR - hugely talented centre back. Also new are Curtis Haynes-Brown from Lowestoft and he looks good. Best signings look to be up front. Kieran Agard on a free from Everton, Stevie MacLean on a free from Plymouth and Rory Fallon on a free, also from Plymouth.
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?
Well, none as most have already left!!! Had you asked me last season, I would of said Sam Williams. Striker but so bad, my Gran could do better, and she died 4 years ago.
5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
Quite a few here to choose from. Max Ehmer is 18 and has a big future at a much higher level. But he is on loan so I will say Kieran Agard. 19 year old pacy striker/winger.
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?
Jed Steer looks good for one so young. He commands the box well. Curtis Haynes-Brown looks a terrific prospect, especially as he came from Lowestoft, hardly a big non league club.
7. Are you happy with your manager?
Yes and no. Yes because he does his best with the smallest squad and smallest budget in the league. No because he rolls over to the inept board. But I suppose he likes being employed.
8. Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
No to Chairman. He is shocking. Never invests any money. He wants to extend the ground when he should investigate why our average attendence has dropped from over 6,000 to under 4,000 in 4 years. We have a squad of 15 players of which 2 are loan. Waste of space. Backroom staff - see question 7 for the same answer.
9. Which team do you want to beat the most and why?
We have no real rivals in this league so will go with the obvious: Preston North End and Sheffield United. Two big clubs (for this league) who, just a few short years ago, were 4-5 leagues higher than us. Now we are both in L1 on merit.
10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four
to go down
Champions: Sheffield United. Runners up: Huddersfield Town (Hope so anyway - Simply because Lee Clark is a gent and a top man).
Playoffs: Charlton Athletic, Preston North End, Sheffield Wednesday and one from left field: Colchester United.
Relegation: Bury, Stevenage, Wycombe Wanderers, Notts County

10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four
to go down
Champions - Huddersfield; Runners-up - Sheff Wed;
Play-offs - Sheff Utd, MK Dons, Charlton, Brentford;

Preston North End
Leyton Orient

I am hoping for a top 6 finish
3. What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
The squad is ok, but we still need someone who can finish half chances, someone like Adam Le Fondre
4. Which player would you happily get rid of?

5. Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
Jordan Slew (striker) and Harry Maguire (defender)
6. Any player impressed you during pre-season?

10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four

Play-Offs: MK Dons, Preston, Carlisle, Charlton

10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four
to go down
Champions: Sheffield United Runner Up: Bournemouth
Playoffs: MK Dons, Colchester, Huddersfield and Leyton Orient
Go Down: Yeovil, Stevenage, Notts County and Tranmere

We have an old rivalry with Colchester United so it would have to be them.
10. Predict your champions and runner up, the four Play-Off teams and the four to go down

Yeovil Town
