Huddersfield Town had to settle with a 1-1 draw against Bury in the first game of the League One season, after Gary Roberts had initially put the Terriers ahead.Huddersfield Town 1 v 1 Bury

Town had new summer signings Calum Woods, Oscar Gobern, Donal McDermott and Anton Robinson all starting from the kick off. Tommy Miller also made is debut for Town coming on as a substitute.

The Terriers never really got going against newly-promoted Bury and looked fairly lacklustre throughout the game. When Roberts put Town ahead in the 65th minute - after a great ball across the penalty area from Novak - it looked like Town were going to get away with playing poorly but it wasn't to be. Bury equalised in the 76th minute when Ryan Lowe's close range shot beat Ian Bennett and the Lancashire side managed to hold on for the draw.
