It is rumoured that former Leeds United manager Simon Grayson is set to be unveiled as the new Huddersfield Town manager early next week.Terriers Look To Simon Grayson

Lee Clark was surprisingly shown the door by Town chairman Dean Hoyle on Wednesday morning just hours after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United.

The 42-year old Grayson was only sacked by Leeds on 1st February and has left the club in touching distance of the Championship play-offs. Former Town manager Neil Warnock, who was favourite to take over from Lee Clark, has since been installed at Elland Road.

Grayson started his managerial career at Blackpool and got the Seasiders promotion in his first full season via the play-offs in 2007. He left Blackpool in a stable position in the Championship to take over Leeds United in December 2008 and guied the club into the play-offs where they lost to Millwall. In his first full season at Leeds he secured 2nd place in League One and the following season The Whites finished just outside the Championship play-offs in 7th place.

Grayson was sacked by Leeds due to "lack of results". It appears Town fans are divided 50/50 on the hiring of Simon Grayson.
