Out-of-contract goalkeeper Ian Bennett, striker Alan Lee and utility man Tom Clarke has been offered new deals by the club and Damien Johnson has also been offered a contract after been released from parent club Plymouth Arygle. Young goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson has also been offered a new contract.

Tom's brother Nathan, Gary Naysmith, Gary Roberts, Danny Cadamarteri, Tommy Miller, Aidan Chippendale and Simon Thomas have been told their contracts won't be renewed.

Academy defender Greg Pearson has also been let go despite having a year left on his contract. Goalkeeper Nick Colgan will stay at the club as a goalkeeper coach but the club has held his playing registration papers.

Roberts and Miller both featured in the play-off final against Sheffield United. Roberts, 28, was signed in the summer of 2008 by Stan Ternent from Ipswich Town and made 192 appearances scoring 39 goals. The winger was Town's Player of The Year in 2009 and was selected this year of the League One Team of The Year.

Miller, 33, arrived at Town last summer on a free from Sheffield Wednesday and made 33 appearances for the club.

Nathan Clarke, 28, has been a great servant to the club as he made 300 appearances for Town since graduating from the Town academy in 2001. The defender made his debut against Stoke City in September 2001 but fell out of favour under Lee Clark and has spent time on loan at Oldham and Bury over the last couple of season.

Gary Naysmith made 45 appearances for Town over a two-year period but was plagued by injury. Danny Cadamarteri's second spell at the club comes to an end after making 16 appearances this season. 'Cads' returned to the club in January 2011 on a free transfer after being released by Dundee United. He has left Town to join United in the summer of 2009.

Chippendale made one appearance for Town whilst Simon Thomas never broke into the first team in his year with the club.

We wish every player the best for the future.
