Huddersfield Town have this evening announced the signing of Manchester United midfielder Oliver Norwood.Town Sign Manchester United Midfielder

The 21-year old has signed a three-year deal with Town and will join on July 1 when his Manchester United contract expires. It is believed that Town have agreed a compensation package of around £400,000 with the Premier League giants.

The Burnley-born Northern Ireland international is a graduate of the Manchester United academy signing a pro contract with The Reds in 2009 but never made a first team appearance for the club. Norwood has had loan spells at Carlisle United, Scunthorpe United and Coventry City during his time with the Red Devils.

Norwood, who has made six appearances for Northern Ireland, turned down a new contract offer from Manchester United and, as was reported yesterday, had turned down offers from Barnsley and Coventry City to join Huddersfield Town.
