Terriers Sign Former Notts Forest Defender

Huddersfield Town have to confirmed the signing of former Nottingham Forest defender Joel Lynch on a free transfer.
The 24-year old has signed a three-year deal with The Terriers after turning down a new contract at the City Ground. Town boss Simon Grayson has said Town beat 8 Championship clubs and 2 Premier League teams to the signing for the former Brighton defender.
Lynch is a central defender but can also cover at left-back he started his career at Brighton after progressing through their youth system. He made his debut for the Seagulls in January 2006 and went on to make 79 appearances scoring 2 goals before joining Notts Forest on loan in September 2008. Forest made the move permanent in the summer of 2009 paying Brighton £200,000, Lynch went on to make 90 appearances scoring 3 goals in his time at the City Ground.
Lynch had been linked with Town for several weeks on the social media website Twitter. Forest fans have been in contact to say that the defender was the most consistent perfomer last season. Described by Forest fans as an athletic, composed defender with pace who is a team player but is prone to the odd injury.
