Beckford in Town Loan Move
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 29/09/2012
Huddersfield Town yesterday have signed Leicester City striker Jermaine Beckford on a 3 month loan deal.
Beckford has been linked with Town for some time and was due to join The Terriers on the last day of the transfer window only for Leicester to pull the plug with 2 minutes remaining.
The 28-year old was released by Chelsea as a youngster but caught the eye scoring goals for fun at non-league Wealdstone that led him to a move to Leeds United. After 85 goals in 152 games for Leeds he left for Everton in 2010 before switched in Leicester just a year later.
Beckford is expected to start against Watford this afternoon.
Apologies for little news of late been too busy with work.
