Report: Huddersfield Town 1-1 QPR

Huddersfield Town earned their first Championship point of the season with a positive display against Queens Park Rangers at the John Smith's Stadium.
James Vaughan scored his third goal in two games with a close range header from Oliver Norwood's cross.
Town's lead only lasted a mere three minutes when QPR's Junior Hoilett poked home from Yun Suk-Young's cross.
It was a rather interesting game of football to watch, Town matching the millionaires of QPR with both sides having chances to take all the spoils but a draw between the two sides was a fair result.
Mark Robins stuck with the 3-5-2 formation that proved successful against Bradford City in midweek with two changes made in Oscar Gobern started as Jonathan Hogg was out through illness and Adam Hammill was favoured instead of Jack Hunt, who was on the bench.
The visitors, regardless of the players that have left the club, still have quality players in their squad. Joey Barton often at the heart of the QPR's attacks, he set up Clint Hill from a forth minute free-kick but the defender headed over the bar.
Antony Gerrard made a superb block on Andy Johnson to deny the striker what could have been the opening goal but Charlie Austin should have put the Hoops in front on 13 minutes.
The former Burnley striker was put through on goal by Johnson but the striker QPR had paid £4million for lost his footing as he went to strike the ball.
QPR's Danny Simpson then fired a 30-yard effort wide but Town were keeping possession well and Oscar Gobern fired a 25th minute shot wide before Martin Paterson turned Hill inside the area but his shot flew past the post.
Sure enough the breakthrough for the Terriers came on 35 minutes with Vaughan putting Town in the lead. Hammill did well to keep the ball down the right flank and the winger fed Norwood into the area, the former Manchester United man supplied the cross that allowed Vaughan to score with a header from close range.
The lead only lasted three minutes when Yuk-Suk Young got a bit of luck as his initial cross was blocked but the ball fell kindly for the South Korean to supply the cross that allowed Hoilett to stab into the net from 12 yards as the winger took advantage of some poor Town defending.
The second half just started as same as the first with Austin nearly putting the visitors ahead on 57 minutes when he headed against the bar from Johnson's cross with Barton heading the rebound harmlessly wide under pressure from Hammill.
Hammill, in his last act before being replaced by Danny Ward, lost the ball in a dangerous position that allowed Austin to hit a powerful shot from the edge of the area that luckily for Town flew into the side netting.
Rangers brought two former England internationals off the bench in Shaun Wright-Phillips and Jermaine Jenas and the latter fired a 20-yard effort just over the bar as the Hoops continued to dominate.
Town substitute Sean Scannell replaced Gobern with eight minutes to go and he almost nicked all three points as the winger beat Hill for pace but the winger's shot trickled just wide when under pressure from Robert Green.
Wright-Phillips went close with a long range effort that Alex Smithies parried away for a corner in injury time and then at the death the Town stopper denied Hoilett from snatching the winner.

Never put a foot wrong in the 82 minutes he was on the field he looks comfortable on the ball even when under pressure and suits the defensive midfield role admirably. The potential that former manager Lee Clark raved about when he brought Gobern to the club is now beginning to show.
