Woods and Atkinson set to leave Town

Huddersfield Town defender Calum Woods and midfielder Chris Atkinson revealed on their Twitter accounts that they are set to leave the club when their contracts expire this summer.Woods and Atkinson set to leave Town

So far there has been no word from the club but the Huddersfield Examiner expects the retained list to be announced the next few days.

Woods joined Town from Scottish side Dunfermline Athletic in the summer of 2011 and was part of the side that won the League One play-offs a year later. Since then the former Liverpool trainee has been in and out of the team but in all the 27-year-old made 72 appearances,scoring one goal. He took to Twitter to thanks the fans:

Chris Atkinson came through the club's academy to make his debut in a 6-0 win over Macclesfield Town in the FA Cup in November 2010.

Highly-rated by former manager Lee Clark, Atkinson has spent most of his time at Town on loan at other clubs such as Darlington, Chesterfield, Tranmere Rovers and more recently neighbours Bradford City.

The 22-year-old made 10 appearances for The Terriers, scoring one goal.
