Boro and Brighton still in pursuit of Clayton
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 30/07/2014
Championship rivals Brighton and Middlesbrough are continuing their pursuit in Huddersfield Town midfielder Adam Clayton, Sky Sports understands.
Clayton continues to be linked with a move away from Huddersfield but Town are holding firm in their valuation of last season's Player of the Year, despite the midfielder having just a year left on his current contract.
The 25-year-old has been a key player for The Terriers since his £350,000 move from Leeds United in 2012.
It is believed that Town rejected a bid from Brighton in January and one from Boro a couple of weeks ago.
Clayton has made 92 appearances for Town, scoring 12 goals.
