Match Preview - Huddersfield Town v Blackpool
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 18/10/2014
Blackpool travel to the John Smith's Stadium this Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off) as Huddersfield Town look to continue their impressive form.
Chris Powell's men are unbeaten in their last three matches, winning two, and the Town boss is likely to name an unchanged side for the visit of Blackpool.
Lee Peltier is back from a groin injury but Powell may decide to stick with Tommy Smith at right-back.
Defender Anthony Gerrard and James Vaughan continue their injury rehabilitation. Other than that, Town have no fresh injury worries.
Striker Jon Stead joined Bradford City on loan yesterday.
Blackpool have only one once so far this season and not won away from home in six attempts in all competitions.
The Seasiders sit 23rd in the Championship and have only scored six league goals so far this season - the fewest in the league.
Boss Jose Riga is likely to hand on-loan goalkeeper Joe Lewis a start between the sticks.
Former Town defender Peter Clarke is fit after suffering a twisted colon and should receive a warm reception from the Huddersfield fans should Clarke start for Blackpool.
Midfielder Jose Miguel is out with an ankle injury.
Blackpool will take confidence from the fact that they are unbeaten in the last four meetings at the John Smith's Stadium in all competitions, winning Two.
Town's last win over Blackpool at home was a 2-0 win January 2006 and have only beaten The Seasiders once in the last eight meetings in all competitions - the last being a 3-1 win at Bloomfield Road in September 2012.
Huddersfield won their last home game against Millwall - their only win in six matches at the John Smith's Stadium this season.
Blackpool won their last match (1-0 win over Cardiff City) on October 3 - their first win in all competitions this campaign.
