The widemen have both struggled to force their way into into the Town set up this season and boss Chris Powell has decided to let both move on as he looks to reshape his squad.

24-year-old Ward is out of contract at the John Smith's Stadium this summer and had recently been linked with a move to Leeds United.

26-year-old Hammill, who has a year left on his contract, has struggled with injury this season and has only featured twice since the end of August.

Ward joined Town in July 2011 for fee believed to be around £1million and has gone on to score 16 goals in 177 appearances.

Hammill joined in June 2013 from Wolves and has gone on to make 49 appearances, scoring four goals.

Both are set to feature in Rotherham's fixture away at Brentford this Saturday and it is believed that the Millers will turn the loan deals into permanent ones after the weekend.
