Transfers in

Ishmael Miller - striker Ishmael Miller joined from fellow Championship side Blackpool on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old has signed a deal until the end of the season but Town have the option of extending the contract for a further year.

Miller had only joined Blackpool at the start of the season and had scored twice in 22 appearances for the Seasiders.

There were rumours that Blackpool were keen to offload the striker as further appearances for the Championship strugglers would have invoked a wage rise.

Miller began his career at Manchester City in 2006 after progressing through the youth ranks and went on to make 20 appearances for the Citizens.

He joined West Bromwich Albion in January 2008 for £1.4 million after a successful loan spell and scored 16 goals in all competitions as the Baggies won promotion to the Premier League.

His time at The Hawthorns was hampered by injury and he spent time on loan at Queens Park Rangers before being sold to Nottingham Forest for £1.2 million in the summer of 2011.

Miller only made 30 appearances in three years at the City Ground, scoring four goals, and was loaned out to Middlesbrough during the 2012/13 season.

He spent last season on loan at Yeovil Town, scoring 10 goals in 20 appearances, before being released by Forest last summer.

Transfers out

Jordan Sinnott - 20-year-old Sinnott left the club on Monday by mutual consent. The midfielder had progressed through Town's youth academy to make his debut in an FA Cup tie with Leicester City in January 2013.

Sinnott made two starts and a further three appearances from the bench in three seasons with the Terriers and also had loan spells at Altrincham and Bury.

Matt Crooks - Crooks also left the club by mutual consent on Monday. Like Sinnott, the 21-year-old had progressed through the youth ranks but only made one appearance for Town.

He spent time on loan at FC Halifax Town, Radcliffe Borough and mostly recently Hartlepool United and Accrington Stanley.

Paul Dixon - Dixon was another player that left by mutual consent and has since returned to former club Dundee United.

The left-back joined Town on a free transfer from the Terrors in 2012 and went on to make 92 appearances.

Dixon was a first team regular in his time at the John Smith's Stadium but was dropped once Chris Powell became manager.

The Scottish international played 16 times this season but only featured six times under Powell.

The Huddersfield boss has since said that Dixon asked to be released from his contract so he could return to Scotland as soon as possible.

Danny Carr - the striker has joined League Two side Dagenham and Redbridge on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old had spent time on loan at Mansfield Town earlier this season, scoring once in four appearances.

Carr has made two appearances for Town since joining from non-league side Dulwich Hamlet in 2013 but has yet to feature under Powell.
