Preview - Huddersfield Town v Fulham
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 21/03/2015
Huddersfield Town are 10 points clear of the relegation zone but it could have been more had it not been for a 98th-minute equaliser from promotion-chasing Norwich City on Tuesday night.
The Terriers had taken a 95th minute lead only for the Canaries to grab a last-gasp leveller.
But they have not won in their last five matches and manager Chris Powell is hopeful his side can turn it around to end the season on a high.
Powell's side are 17th in the Championship table - the position they finished last season - but are nine points worse off their tally for the previous campaign.
Huddersfield suffered a blow this week by the news that on-loan Jack Robinson is ruled out for the rest of the season with the knee injury and it could be up to a year before the left-back makes a return.
Jake Carroll looks likely to start in place of the injured Robinson, who has not returned to his parent club Queens Park Rangers.
Powell will be hoping striker Nahki Wells is passed fit as James Vaughan is suspended after receiving a second yellow for his goal celebration in injury-time against his former club in midweek.
Fellow striker Ishmael Miller, who opened the scoring against Norwich, is likely to keep his place up front while Joe Lolley is edging nearer to a return but is expected not to feature against Fulham.
Town will be without forward Harry Bunn who is out with a hamstring injury.
The Cottagers won the earlier meeting this season 3-1 at Craven Cottage in November and are unbeaten in their last six encounters with Huddersfield, winning four.
You have to go back to September 1993 for Town's last win over Fulham in the old Division Two.
Fulham are in a precarious position in the Championship table and have just eight matches left to avoid back-to-back relegations.
The Cottagers sit just one place and six points above the relegation places having won just once in their last 13 matches in all competitions.
Leeds United ran out 3-0 winners at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night which was Fulham's 20th league defeat of the season - only bottom side Blackpool have lost more this season.
Kit Symons' men had the better of things for much of the match against Leeds but they ended the game with 10 men after defender Konstantinos Stafylidis picked up two quick bookings.
Wigan Athletic's up turn in form has begun to increase the pressure on Fulham but they can have no complaints having picked up just a paltry six points from the last 33 points available.
Symons, who took over in September after Felix Magath had left Fulham bottom of the league with just one point from their first eight matches following relegation from the Premier League, has targeted three wins from the next eight matches to ensure their safety.
The trump card for the Cottagers is half of their remaining games are against teams in bottom half of the table.
No team outside the top 10 has scored more goals than Fulham this season but they have been shambolic defensively with only Blackpool conceding more.
They could be without striker Ross McCormack for the trip to Huddersfield as he picked up a knock to the knee in the defeat to his former club in midweek which means Hugo Rodallega is likely to start.
As mentioned earlier Stafylidis was sent off in the loss to Leeds and is suspended while captain Scott Parker faces a late fitness test.
