Craney and Jevons Join Morecambe

Today Town midfielder Ian Craney and striker Phil Jevons have signed for League Two outfit Morecambe for the season.
Town have a clause in both loan deals that manager Lee Clark can recall both men, if need be, from January 2010 onwards.
Craney only joined Huddersfield Town from Accrington Stanley in August 2008 for £150,000. Craney has made 35 appearanes scoring 5 goals. The former Accrington midfielder has rarely feature for Town since Lee Clark took over the club.
Striker Phil Jevons has scored 11 goals in 50 games for the Terriers. Jevons has fallen out of favour as Lee Clark wanted to mold the squad to his own liking. Jevons was shipped out to Bury at the back end of last season, The former Yeovil star has scored 4 goals in 2 games so far this pre-season. Town fans have questioned Jevons commitment, often looking half-interested in matches.
Town lost 1-0 to Newcastle United in a somewhat heated friendly in which players had be pulled apart twice, once before half-time and another after the final whistle.
Town played pretty well and held strong against a Newcastle side that was relegated for the Premiership only months ago. Kevin Nolan came on as sub for the Magpies and nicked what eventually was the winner.
Town had chances, Lee Novak put a opportunity over the bar, Michael Collins' diving header flew just wide after a superb cross from Novak and Andy Butler headed over the bar after being found unmarked from a Gary Roberts corner.
